Guns and weaponry for the life we live today
It’s strange to think that when you eat a banana you could easily trace where that banana came from - but if you were shot there would be no way to identify the origin of the bullet. Amnesty International campaigned for over 20 years for regulation in the arms industry - so manufacturers and dealers could be traced and held responsible for where their weapons end up. The lifestyle catalogue parody in this campaign focuses on just how cheap and easy it is to acquire weapons. I think it was shocking at the time (10 years ago) and it got a lot of attention. Today though I think it looks like something America’s NRA might genuinely put out - and that is probably more shocking. The Global Arms Trade Treaty Amnesty campaigned for was sealed in 2013.
