Attack on the Arctic

It's apparent to most of us that drilling for oil in the arctic is a bad idea - icebergs and oil rigs obviously don’t mix. But major oil companies saw retreating Arctic sea ice (caused by global warming) as an opportunity to prospect for oil (a cause of global warming). I did a number of campaigns for Greenpeace on this issue. In the one below I imagined what an oil rig would look like out of the water marching over the pristine white environment of the Arctic. I imagined it would be very similar to the march of the AT-ATs on Hoth in the Empire Strikes Back. Thankfully, for the time being at least, the oil giants have concluded drilling is not viable - though as the ice continues to melt they will doubtless return.
